\"\"<\/a>Since the introduction of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, there has been a steadily growing trend (at universities, in companies and organisations) towards recognising evidence of foreign language proficiency in the form of internationally \u2018recognisable\u2019 certificates. The advantage of these is that standardised examination content and conditions ensure that foreign language proficiency can be meaningfully compared.<\/p>\n

As our school attaches great importance to preparing upper-school students as well as possible for their future careers, we have been offering a preparatory course every year since 2010<\/a> to Year 11 students for the internationally recognised certificate examinations set by the prestigious University of Cambridge<\/a>: Cambridge English FIRST (level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and Cambridge English ADVANCED (level C1).<\/p>\n

\"Cambridge<\/a>Since 2010, between 30 and 50 students in Year 11 have been taking on this particular challenge \u2013 a considerable number, as this makes our school that registers the most candidates in the whole of Saarland every year!<\/p>\n

Our success rate is also impressive: based on the results of a preliminary test, for which around 80 students register each year, potential candidates are advised on which level they can aim for \u2013 as a result, 98 per cent of our candidates have passed to date!<\/p>\n
