We also provide drinks and snacks for the participating parents.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>Summer Camp in Camaret<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span>Every summer, around 50 DFG-LFA students from Saarbr\u00fccken, Buc and Freiburg go to Camaret for two weeks. ALFA is responsible for coordinating the camp for our school, the registration process and organising travel to and from the camp.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>Sale of school merchandise<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nALFA sells T-shirts and jumpers in the school colours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>WHAT WE SUPPORT (EXAMPLES)<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>School trips<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nFamilies with additional needs can apply to ALFA for partial funding. If ALFA approves the application, the trip is usually subsidised at 20 per cent of the actual cost.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>Class outings<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nForm teachers can apply to ALFA for a grant to help fund a class outing. As a rule, funding is provided for up to one class outing per school year.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>Tablet sleeves<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n.New pupils in Years 5 and 6\u00e8me receive a protective sleeve from ALFA for their school tablet, so that the device can be transported safely.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>Prizes and gifts<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nALFA funds welcome gifts for new pupils as well as prizes for the A-level graduation ceremony, the English Contest, the quiz night or other competitions.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>Chess club<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThe chess club has been funded by ALFA for many years.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>Educational materials<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nAmong other things, ALFA funds class sets of school textbooks and licences for digital educational materials (such as the FWU and Edumedia media libraries).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #b21a57;\"><strong>WHO CAN GET INVOLVED?<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Parents | Students | DFG-LFA staff<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Members can play an active part in helping out at events (donating waffle batter, helping at the stall, etc.). Before each event, we send out an email inviting our members to help. healthy and varied diet is important for good health. This is particularly true when it comes to our children\u2019s diet \u2013 especially when they eat away from home. Die Schule in Saarbr\u00fccken teilt sich mit dem deutsch-franz\u00f6sischen Gymnasium die R\u00e4umlichkeiten.<\/p>\n<p>The French School of Saarbr\u00fccken and Dillingen (EFSD) is a school run by parents under the administrative supervision of the Agency for French Education Abroad (Agence pour l\u2019Enseignement Fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 l\u2019Etranger, AEFE). It forms part of the network of French schools in Europe (which are under the authority of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and is recognised as a supplementary school by the Saarland Ministry of Education. It offers teaching in line with the French national curriculum and is primarily intended for French children living in the Saarland. It also admits pupils of other nationalities, in particular German nationals whose parents wish their children to be educated and brought up in two languages and cultures. Although lessons are mainly conducted in French, the German language and culture occupy a prominent place in the curriculum.
