This competition promotes young linguistic talent and aims to spark curiosity about foreign languages and cultures. The choice ranges from English, French, Spanish, Russian or Chinese right through to Latin.<\/p>\n<p>Pupils in Years 8 to 12 can demonstrate their linguistic talent in the SOLO category. Younger pupils compete in one foreign language, whilst older pupils are expected to compete in two. In the first round of the competition, you\u2019ll take part by submitting a video you\u2019ve filmed yourselves. As the competition progresses, there will be oral and written tasks.<\/p>\n<p>In the TEAM SCHOOL category, pupils in Years 6 to 10 work in groups to produce a film, a podcast or a play in one or more foreign languages of their choice. The best teams will take part in the big language festival next year.<\/p>\n<p>Scholarships from the German National Academic Foundation, cash prizes and non-cash prizes await the winners.
