Annexions – Erasmus+ theatre project

On the initiative of Mrs Pascale D’Ogna from Lycée Cormontaigne in Metz, LFA students met their Czech counterparts from Ostrava and the high school students from Metz to discover the world of cinema.

The theme of the film to be produced is life under the annexation, a historically significant theme for the regions of the three high schools involved, but also an unfortunately very hot topic that is in the news today.

The students are of course supervised by their teachers, Ms Petry and Ms Wollny for Saarbrücken, but they work under the technical authority of show business professionals with Ms Haruna Honcoop, Czech director, Petra Lemonnier, Czech set designer, Vincent Goethals, French director and actor.

The script was written especially for the project by Mr Stanislav Cotton, Belgian playwright, and the film will be set to music by Mr Jacques Mercier, conductor, who will lead the student orchestra.

The final product will be screened in June at the Arsenal in Metz, at the international festival in Ostrava and in Saarland.

A l’initiative de Mme Pascale D’Ogna du lycée Cormontaigne de Metz, les élèves du LFA rencontrent leurs homologues tchèques d’Ostrava et les lycéens de Metz pour découvrir le monde du cinéma.

Le thème du film est la vie sous l’annexion, thème historiquement parlant pour les régions des trois lycées concernés, mais aussi sujet malheureusement très brulant qui se retrouve aujourd’hui sur les devants de l’actualité.

Les élèves sont bien entendu encadrés par leurs professeurs, Mme Petry et Mme Wollny pour Sarrebruck, mais travaillent sous l’autorité technique de professionnels du spectacle avec Mme Haruna Honcoop, réalisatrice tchèque, Petra Lemonnier, décoratrice tchèque, Vincent Goethals, metteur et comédien français.

Le script a été spécialement écrit pour le projet par M. Stanislav Cotton, dramaturge belge, et le film sera mis en musique par M. Jacques Mercier, chef d’orchestre, qui dirigera l’orchestre des élèves.

Le produit final sera projeté en juin à l’Arsenal de Metz, au festival international d’Ostrava ainsi qu’en Sarre.
