En effet, cette visite entre en r\u00e9sonnance\u00a0 avec leurs cours d\u2019Histoire et le M\u00e9morial, ouvert en 2016 \u00e0 l\u2019occasion du centenaire de la bataille, permet de mieux comprendre concr\u00e8tement cette guerre pour les bellig\u00e9rents.<\/p>\n<p>En sortant du M\u00e9morial nous avons travares\u00e9 le village fant\u00f4me de Fleury-devant-Douaumonnt, l\u2019un des neuf villages ras\u00e9s pendant cette bataille et dont les anciens batiments sont marqu\u00e9s par des st\u00e8les-souvenir. Sur le chemin vers le fort de Douamont nous nous sommes arr\u00eat\u00e9s pr\u00e8s d\u2019une tranch\u00e9e reconstitu\u00e9e que les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont pu parcourir. Le fort de Douaumont, \u00e9rig\u00e9 par les Fran\u00e7ais apr\u00e8s la d\u00e9faite de 1871 et la perte de l\u2019Alsace et de la Moselle au profit de la Prusse pour se d\u00e9fendre d\u2019\u00e9ventuelles offensives allemandes, \u00e9tait \u00e9quip\u00e9 de tourelles et \u00e9tait une vraie \u201eville\u201c sous terre.
