On Friday, December 5th, students from Year 8 to 2nde came together to unleash their imagination and craft amazing stories.<\/p>\n
With snacks shared and ideas exchanged, participants enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere where they could write freely, and seek advice from our supportive English teachers. The energy was palpable as everyone dove into their writing, and many were thrilled at the possibility of having their texts published on our school website!<\/p>\n
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this event. Here are some of the texts that emerged from this night of creativity:<\/p>\n
I\u2019m looking out of the window and I see a white car passing by. It\u2019s snowing. It feels the same as a few years ago.<\/p>\n
But a few years ago, everything was different. He was with me. He honked in his white car, and I couldn\u2019t run up the stairs faster. It was on a cold December day. I was wearing my red scarf that he got me for my birthday.<\/p>\n
And here I am, exactly three years later. But now I\u2019m alone. Sometimes I ask myself the question, \u201cHow did it end?\u201d But that\u2019s not true. I know how it ended. I know why it ended.<\/p>\n
And it was the most hurtful thing I ever had to see: to see the person who once loved me the most falling in love with another woman. Witnessing this just broke me inside.<\/p>\n
For three years, I couldn\u2019t love another person the same way I loved him, or I just couldn\u2019t love anyone that hard. When he left, he took a part of me with him. Because after three years, I still know how his laugh sounds, the way he looked at me when I came home after a cold walk, and the way his cheeks turned into a soft berry pink after another workday. I thought I was going to see all these things for the rest of my life, but my fate had another plan.<\/p>\n
And I know it\u2019s going to be better for me when I let him go and move on, but forgetting him feels like trying to know somebody you never met. Because he is everywhere I go. I see his face in the white cars, in the signs with the name of the city where he lives, in the digits after the decimal point of pi, in the title of my favourite song, in my infinity-heart necklace, at the place I saw him the last time, even in my smile when I\u2019m looking in the mirror and in the colour red.<\/p>\n
When my best friend asked me, \u201cHow was it for you to love him?\u201d I told her that loving him was red. I loved him with all I had. And maybe that was the problem: I gave him everything, and with that, I took the risk. The risk that he could, if he wanted, throw everything away that I gave him. And in the end, this was exactly what he did. He threw me away.<\/p>\n
And always when I realize that I never meant the same thing to him as he meant to me, I start crying. But am I allowed to cry? Because after all these years, am I still allowed to cry about a man who\u2019s emotionally still a teenage boy and broke my heart? The moment I realized that it was going to be over, and he started to ignore me, I was sure that it was my fault. Did I say something wrong? I went over everything I said. Did I do something wrong? I went over everything I did. I thought that I could fix it. Fix our relationship.<\/p>\n
So, the day before Christmas, I sat down and wrote a letter. I wrote a letter for him, trying to express my feelings and the way I loved him. That I saw sparks fly whenever he smiled. That his outfit was like a daydream, how he walked with his head down, and I was the one he was walking to. How he loved me like I was brand new. I wanted to put all these things in a letter to prove how much I was in love with him. But I never came to the moment where I could give or send him the letter. Because that same night, he broke up with me.<\/p>\n
On the phone, with a call. I never knew how to explain that his call was, for me, more than just a call. He called me, and I just asked how his day was because I didn\u2019t know that the call was going to end like this. With the sentence: \u201cI found another person who makes me laugh, another person I want to smile with, a new person that I love, because you\u2019re not that person anymore. I don\u2019t love you anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n
After that call, I didn\u2019t want to send the letter anymore, but I also didn\u2019t want to throw the letter away. Because in this letter was my favourite part of me. The part when I was with him.<\/p>\n
In a week, it\u2019s Christmas. This is the third Christmas I\u2019m going to spend alone. Alone and sad. And for all my friends who always say, \u201cLet him go, just move on and let him go!\u201d I try. I try so hard, every day, every week, to let him go. I just want to step into the daylight and let him go. But then I remember him. And remembering him brings flashbacks and echoes, and I tell myself it\u2019s time to let go. But moving on from him is impossible when I still see it all in my head. And I see it in burning red.<\/p>\n
But losing him was blue. Blue because I cried. I cried a long time ago. And it was impossible to stop. So I know how much he hurt me.<\/p>\n
And my Christmas wish is the same as two years ago. I just want the hurt to stop. And I know it\u2019s going to be better; I hope it\u2019s going to be better. I know that it only hurts this much right now. I just don\u2019t understand why it\u2019s taking such a long time.<\/p>\n
But I know I\u2019m going to fix myself and celebrate the next Christmas as a new, happy, and fixed woman.<\/p>\n

It was Christmas, Finneas\u2019 favorite holiday, he literally loves everything about Christmas – freshly baked cookies, presents, and especially the chill atmosphere with Tatum.<\/p>\nAnd the gift he\u2019d got for him? Nothing but a confession. Yes, Finneas was deeply in love with his best friend Tatum. It had now already been eight months, and he still hadn\u2019t told him.<\/p>\nHe jumped up as he heard the front door opening, so he ran down and yelled \u201cTate, you\u2019re finally home!\u201d<\/p>\n\u201dOf course I am, how could I ever be late to spend Christmas Eve with you?\u201d Tatum asked.<\/p>\n\u201cR-Right\u201d Finneas stuttered, blushing heavily at the sight of Tate\u2019s view, the slightly reddened nose from the cold, and mostly his beautiful eyes, the intoxicating blue that made him feel like he was in heaven.<\/p>\n\u201cUhm, anyways, come in!\u201d Finneas said, stepping away from the door to let Tatum in. \u201cI\u2019ve prepared dinner, we\u2019re having steak with mashed potatoes.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cMan, you never told me you could cook!\u201d Tatum said jokingly, nudging his shoulder.<\/p>\nFinneas chuckled as he closed the door behind Tatum. \u201cMaybe you don\u2019t know everything about me\u2026 yet\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d Tatum asked, curious about what Finneas was hiding from him. Had he done something wrong? Was he okay?<\/p>\n\u201cYou\u2019ll see…\u201d Finneas answered, already feeling regret for saying these words out loud. \u201cI\u2019m so excited, I love Christmas!\u201d he said happily, trying to change topic.<\/p>\n\u201cI know, Finn, you say that every year, over and over again.\u201d Tatum said as they went to sit at the table, their eyes fixated on the delicious-looking food that had been waiting for them.<\/p>\n1 hour later\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\nTatum and Finneas were sitting on the couch, looking at the beautiful Christmas tree.<\/p>\n\u201cOh right, I got a present for you!\u201d Tatum said, pulling out a small box out of his pocket.<\/p>\n\u201cOh, you didn\u2019t have to\u2026\u201d Finneas said, blushing again.<\/p>\nTatum handed him the small box and Finneas opened it. It was\u2026 a necklace with a teddy-bear pendant.<\/p>\n\u201cWow, thank you Tate, it\u2019s so pretty\u2026\u201d Finneas said, putting the necklace on.<\/p>\n\u201cOkay, so\u2026I don\u2019t have a material gift for you, it\u2019s different.\u201d Finneas said nervously. Would he get rejected or did Tatum reciprocate his feelings?<\/p>\n\u201cOh, now that <\/strong>sounds interesting.\u201d Tatum said, excited.<\/p>\nFinneas hesitated, but spoke up after a short moment of silence \u201cTate\u2026 I love you. I have loved you for such a long time now, and you matter so much to me, I could never imagine letting you go. The thought of spending the rest of my life with you makes my heart clench in happiness, happy tears roll down my cheeks and my eyes glow from thinking about you.\u201d Finneas said, his voice thick with emotion.<\/p>\n\u201cFinn, I would never have guessed-\u2026\u201d Tatum stuttered.<\/p>\n\u201cAnd to be honest? I wish I was one of your tears, so I could be born in your eyes, live on your cheeks, and die on your lips…\u201d Finneas said, a tear rolling down his cheek and then – Tatum leaned forward and pressed his lips on Finneas\u2019. It didn\u2019t take him long to reciprocate it. A kiss, in the warm comfortable light of candles which smelled like cinnamon, with real passion and a full load of love. It was on a cold December day, when Finneas was looking out of the window, watching Tatum carry heavy shopping bags. It was Christmas, Finneas\u2019 favorite holiday, he literally loves everything about Christmas – freshly baked cookies, presents, and especially the chill atmosphere with Tatum.<\/p>\n
And the gift he\u2019d got for him? Nothing but a confession. Yes, Finneas was deeply in love with his best friend Tatum. It had now already been eight months, and he still hadn\u2019t told him.<\/p>\n
He jumped up as he heard the front door opening, so he ran down and yelled \u201cTate, you\u2019re finally home!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201dOf course I am, how could I ever be late to spend Christmas Eve with you?\u201d Tatum asked.<\/p>\n
\u201cR-Right\u201d Finneas stuttered, blushing heavily at the sight of Tate\u2019s view, the slightly reddened nose from the cold, and mostly his beautiful eyes, the intoxicating blue that made him feel like he was in heaven.<\/p>\n
\u201cUhm, anyways, come in!\u201d Finneas said, stepping away from the door to let Tatum in. \u201cI\u2019ve prepared dinner, we\u2019re having steak with mashed potatoes.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMan, you never told me you could cook!\u201d Tatum said jokingly, nudging his shoulder.<\/p>\n
Finneas chuckled as he closed the door behind Tatum. \u201cMaybe you don\u2019t know everything about me\u2026 yet\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d Tatum asked, curious about what Finneas was hiding from him. Had he done something wrong? Was he okay?<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019ll see…\u201d Finneas answered, already feeling regret for saying these words out loud. \u201cI\u2019m so excited, I love Christmas!\u201d he said happily, trying to change topic.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know, Finn, you say that every year, over and over again.\u201d Tatum said as they went to sit at the table, their eyes fixated on the delicious-looking food that had been waiting for them.<\/p>\n
1 hour later\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\nTatum and Finneas were sitting on the couch, looking at the beautiful Christmas tree.<\/p>\n\u201cOh right, I got a present for you!\u201d Tatum said, pulling out a small box out of his pocket.<\/p>\n\u201cOh, you didn\u2019t have to\u2026\u201d Finneas said, blushing again.<\/p>\nTatum handed him the small box and Finneas opened it. It was\u2026 a necklace with a teddy-bear pendant.<\/p>\n\u201cWow, thank you Tate, it\u2019s so pretty\u2026\u201d Finneas said, putting the necklace on.<\/p>\n\u201cOkay, so\u2026I don\u2019t have a material gift for you, it\u2019s different.\u201d Finneas said nervously. Would he get rejected or did Tatum reciprocate his feelings?<\/p>\n\u201cOh, now that <\/strong>sounds interesting.\u201d Tatum said, excited.<\/p>\nFinneas hesitated, but spoke up after a short moment of silence \u201cTate\u2026 I love you. I have loved you for such a long time now, and you matter so much to me, I could never imagine letting you go. The thought of spending the rest of my life with you makes my heart clench in happiness, happy tears roll down my cheeks and my eyes glow from thinking about you.\u201d Finneas said, his voice thick with emotion.<\/p>\n\u201cFinn, I would never have guessed-\u2026\u201d Tatum stuttered.<\/p>\n\u201cAnd to be honest? I wish I was one of your tears, so I could be born in your eyes, live on your cheeks, and die on your lips…\u201d Finneas said, a tear rolling down his cheek and then – Tatum leaned forward and pressed his lips on Finneas\u2019. It didn\u2019t take him long to reciprocate it. A kiss, in the warm comfortable light of candles which smelled like cinnamon, with real passion and a full load of love. \u201cOh, you didn\u2019t have to\u2026\u201d Finneas said, blushing again.<\/p>\n
Tatum handed him the small box and Finneas opened it. It was\u2026 a necklace with a teddy-bear pendant.<\/p>\n
\u201cWow, thank you Tate, it\u2019s so pretty\u2026\u201d Finneas said, putting the necklace on.<\/p>\n
\u201cOkay, so\u2026I don\u2019t have a material gift for you, it\u2019s different.\u201d Finneas said nervously. Would he get rejected or did Tatum reciprocate his feelings?<\/p>\n
\u201cOh, now that <\/strong>sounds interesting.\u201d Tatum said, excited.<\/p>\nFinneas hesitated, but spoke up after a short moment of silence \u201cTate\u2026 I love you. I have loved you for such a long time now, and you matter so much to me, I could never imagine letting you go. The thought of spending the rest of my life with you makes my heart clench in happiness, happy tears roll down my cheeks and my eyes glow from thinking about you.\u201d Finneas said, his voice thick with emotion.<\/p>\n\u201cFinn, I would never have guessed-\u2026\u201d Tatum stuttered.<\/p>\n\u201cAnd to be honest? I wish I was one of your tears, so I could be born in your eyes, live on your cheeks, and die on your lips…\u201d Finneas said, a tear rolling down his cheek and then – Tatum leaned forward and pressed his lips on Finneas\u2019. It didn\u2019t take him long to reciprocate it. A kiss, in the warm comfortable light of candles which smelled like cinnamon, with real passion and a full load of love.
