On Friday 9 May, Europe Day, the Franco-German High School in Saarbrücken was awarded the ‘Europaschule’ label by Christine Streichert-Clivot, the Saarland Minister for Education and Culture.

The Franco-German High School was also recognised for its Erasmus+ projects and mobility programmes, which are characterised by their sheer number, diversity and high quality.

These two awards rightly recognise the European and international focus that is an integral part of our school’s DNA.

DFG-LFA was represented by the two headteachers, Mr Stefan Hauter and Ms Elisabeth Leveque-Lallemand (AEFE), several colleagues and two pupils, who delighted those present with their musical talents: Faris on the saxophone and Valentin on the harp.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire school community for this wonderful spirit and the numerous projects and initiatives that promote European and international engagement, both culturally and linguistically. Well done to everyone and congratulations on these awards!
