From 5 to 7 October, all Year 8 classes at DFG -LFA took part in a three-hour adventure and coordination training session organised by the Erlebnispädagogischen Zentrum Saar. The event was made possible thanks to financial support from our school association ALFA.
The focus was on strengthening cohesion within the newly formed Year 8 classes and promoting the integration of the pupils. Together, they developed strategies to solve the problems presented and tackled challenging exercises in pairs, in teams or as a whole class.
In group discussions, the pupils also reflected on what is already working well within their class community and where there is still room for improvement. They then recorded their wishes and jointly agreed rules on posters, which are now on display in the classroom.
As well as developing solutions in a playful way, there was plenty of fun to be had: there was lots of laughter during the exercises, and the pupils took great delight in taking part.
